20-26: Supaman, also featuring Trampled by Turtles
About This Episode "Supaman" is Christian Takes Gun Parrish, a
Apsáalooke Native American dancer and innovative hip hop artist who
has dedicated his life to empowering and spreading a message of
hope and faith through hip hop music. Christian's presentation
combines Native American and urban hip hop cultures, dazzling
audiences and captivating listeners.
We'll also catch a few songs by Trampled by Turtles toward the end.
Dave Simonett formed Trampled by Turtles in Duluth, Minnesota in
2003. Simonett had lost most of his music gear to thieves. Left
with only an acoustic guitar, he began a new band, inspired by
bluegrass, folk, and other genres that didn't rely on
amplification. Nine albums later they have had several Billboard
hits and appeared at many major bluegrass, folk, and rock
festivals.
