Relive the night the two legendary musicians came together for an unforgettable performance on this week's episode of Tent Show Radio.
Master lyricist and musician John Hiatt is revered for delivering songs filled with tales of redemption, relationships, and surrendering on his own terms. With a sound based in acoustic blues, rock, and American roots music, Hiatt’s songs have been recorded by the likes of Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, and more. 14-time Grammy award winner Jerry Douglas is a freewheeling, forward-thinking musician known as the bandleader of The Jerry Douglas Band and acclaimed bluegrass band The Earls of Leicester. Also celebrated for his award-winning solo career, Jerry Douglas has been regarded as one of the most innovative artists in the music industry today. The acclaimed performers teamed up for their first collaborative album, 2021’s Leftover Feelings, which was recorded at the historic RCA Studio B in Nashville. The album showcases Hiatt’s skills as a songwriter and Douglas’ talents as a composer and producer.
This episode features recordings from John Hiatt & The Jerry Douglas Band’s 2021 performance on the Big Top stage as they play songs from Leftover Feelings and iconic songs from across Hiatt’s career.
